Directions

We’ve compiled a list of directions that we hope will make it easier for you to get around Boston/Brookline!

This is long, brace yourselves! But we’ve put in helpful headers to get you through.

Plenary and Concurrent Session Locations

All events except for concurrent sessions will be held in the Murray Function Room on the 4th floor of Yawkey Athletic Center at 2400 Campanella Way on the Boston College campus. The remaining events will be held in Stokes Hall and Fulton Hall. Specific room numbers are available on the schedule.

For those of you parking on campus, please use the Beacon Street Garage. We will have a very limited number of validated parking tickets available that day. Otherwise parking is $25/day.

Here’s a map of the important campus buildings!

A Google map of Boston College is embedded at the bottom of the page.

Please note that the conference will NOT be offering transit between the airport and the hotel or the hotel and the campus. However, it is an approximately 2 mile/$17 dollar Lyft/Uber fare from the hotel to the campus.* You can also take public transit to both the hotel and the campus as detailed below. Notes for navigating the “T” are below.

A map of the T is available here: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/subway/

Traveling from Boston Logan Airport to your Hotel

By TAXI

Airport taxis are located outside the baggage claim of your terminal. Simply give your driver the hotel address and enjoy the city views on your ride.

By UBER/LYFT

We have not verified this but according to a recent Massport statement:

“Passengers in Terminals A and B will meet [transportation network company] vehicles in the terminal limo lots. Passengers at Terminals C and E will have a new dedicated TNC pick up area between the two terminals.”

Navigating the T

In order to take the T, you will need to purchase a Charlie Ticket or a get a plastic Charlie Card. Tickets are sold for individual rides, as well as 1-day and 7-day link passes for unlimited subway and bus rides. Cards can be loaded with your selected value. One ride is $2.75. The fare is reduced on Charlie Cards but please note that you can only buy passes as paper tickets. You can get tickets at the airport or at Airport Station on the Blue Line. You can pay cash on the Green Line as well.

Please note that the Green Line branches into the B, C, D, and E Lines which can be incredibly confusing (long time Bostonians sometimes still end up on the wrong train occasionally). The Holiday Inn and the Marriott are on the C train. The B, C, and D trains will all get you to various spots on campus. While the C line is the closest from the hotel in terms of walking, it will require you to take a shuttle. The B and D trains are easily walkable, with the B line having a Boston College stop. However, unless you’d like a morning stroll, we advise that you take the C train.
